About RW Glass

Teri Walker and Chad Ridgeway began Ridgewalkerglass nearly three years ago with the desire to create glass sculpture which reflected their whimsical way of life and surroundings.

Teri began blowing glass 18 years ago at Ontario College of Art. She completed her Bachelors degree there and then attended Rhode Island School of Design. After a residency at Harbor Front in Toronto, she came to the New Orleans School of Glassworks to teach kids and adults the art of glassmaking.

Chad’s initiation to glass started when he was in high school and his grandfather taught him to make glass beads. He would then craft them into jewelry  to sell instead of working at a “job”. He later worked as a professional chef in Paris, France but yearned to create art so he began working in a bronze foundry with several sculptors who taught him the art of metal working; welding, casting and chasing to create museum quality bronze sculpture.

Teri and Chad met and decided to combine their creative forces to make one of a kind, whimsical sculpture inspired by the culture and wildlife of Southern Louisiana. Whilst working together they inevitably fell in love and married to create a union that is their life and work; spending their time recreating the world as they see it.

Their combined work can be seen on the online gallery here and they can be reached at here for any custom made creation.
